Recent Mining Report

Hello all,
For the last 3 weeks or so some of our mining group and I have been traveling to NW California, just over the border from Oregon, doing some test mining and even a little bit of production with a highbanker. We worked a few of the New 49'ers claims and found some pretty good colors. We also have a friend who owns the mining rights to 2 miles of the Klamath River just outside of Orleans, CA.We ran the highbanker at one of his claims for a couple of days. Although we found quite a bit of color we didn't yet get rich, but we have so much more area there to work it's way too early to give up now!
Next week we'll be putting in a 5" dredge along part of his claim(s). That should improve our daily take significantly, no? We are hoping to extract between 1/2 and 1 ounce per day with the dredge. Who knows, we may just hit a nice pocket and pull out much more!
Some of the other dredgers in that area were boasting of 1-2 ounces per day and even more. There was one gentleman who we met at a gas station who claimed (unverified) to have extracted over 3oz. in one day!! If true, that's quite a haul for a days work!
