Half Day OutingsOn a Half Day outing, you'll spend 3 hours learning all you need to know to be able to locate, find and extract real gold. You'll learn which areas in Oregon have had gold deposits and which ones are the top producers. On the BASIC outing you'll have a group training session after which there will be a Q&A, then you'll start finding your gold. If time allows you'll also receive some personal attention from your guide. On our DELUXE outing you'll have a group training session, Q&A and personal tutoring time for every guest. Highbanker Outings Coming Summer 2010 This summer we will be offering a new highbanker outing for those of you who may already be experienced in panning and want to try something more...much more, or for those of you who want to jump into the high-end hobby, low-end commercial mining. You'll learn everything about properly sampling an area and about using a highbanker to process your gold. What is a highbanker? Basically it's a sluice box with a header box hooked up to a gas engine and pump through a high pressure hose. Click HERE to see one in action! Using a highbanker you can generally process 10 or more times more material than you can with a simple hand sluice, and literally hundreds of times more than by just panning alone. These new outings will be "common operations". This means that everyone at the outing will work together on one highbanker. At the end of the day, all the gold will be collected then divided among all paying outing guests. This kind of machinery can be a lot of fun to operate and can be quite lucrative too, depending on whether or not you are digging in a good pay streak.
